Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules governing how you may and may not use the Sourcinq platform (sourcinq.com), operated by LEX RESO LTD (Company Number: 16682470), registered at 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX.
This AUP is incorporated by reference into and forms an integral part of the Sourcinq Terms of Service at sourcinq.com/terms-of-service. By accessing or using the Service in any capacity — including during the free trial, on a paid Subscription, or through a one-time Query Package — you agree to be bound by this AUP.
Violation of this AUP may result in the suspension or permanent termination of your account, forfeiture of any remaining Query credits, and where applicable, legal action.
1. Purpose and Scope
This AUP applies to all users of the Sourcinq platform, including:
- users on the free trial;
- users on any paid Subscription plan;
- users who have purchased a one-time Query Package;
- guest users accessing the demo search feature without registration.
The purpose of this AUP is to protect the integrity, reliability, and fairness of the Sourcinq platform for all users, to safeguard the rights of third parties including suppliers and brands, and to ensure that Sourcinq is used only for its intended lawful purpose.
2. Permitted Uses
The following uses of the Sourcinq platform are expressly permitted:
2.1 Wholesale Supplier Research
Searching for wholesale suppliers, authorised distributors, and brand-direct sourcing contacts using ASIN codes, UPC codes, brand names, or product names for the purpose of conducting your own Amazon FBA, ecommerce, or wholesale purchasing business.
2.2 Internal Business Use
Reviewing, saving, and referencing supplier search Results within your account dashboard for the purpose of making your own independent sourcing and purchasing decisions.
2.3 Supplier Outreach Preparation
Using Results as a research starting point to identify potential supplier contacts for independent outreach, verification, and account application — provided that outreach is conducted honestly and in accordance with applicable law.
2.4 Multiple Accounts Per Company
Companies and businesses may register separate Sourcinq accounts for different employees or team members. Each account must be registered by an individual user under their own email address and credentials. Team accounts must not share login credentials between users.
3. Prohibited Uses
The following uses are strictly prohibited. This list is illustrative and not exhaustive — Sourcinq reserves the right to determine that any use not explicitly listed here constitutes a violation of the spirit of this AUP.
3.1 Account Abuse and Multi-Accounting
- Registering more than one personal account for the same individual user in order to obtain additional free trial Queries, demo Queries, or any other benefit associated with new account creation.
- Creating accounts under false identities, fictitious companies, or deliberately misleading information.
- Using temporary or disposable email addresses to circumvent registration requirements or obtain repeated access to trial features.
3.2 Automated Access and Scraping
- Using bots, crawlers, scrapers, scripts, browser automation tools, or any other automated means to access, query, or extract data from the Sourcinq platform without prior explicit written consent from Sourcinq.
- Performing high-frequency or bulk queries in a manner that is not consistent with normal individual human use and that places disproportionate load on the platform's infrastructure.
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract Sourcinq's underlying data structures, algorithms, classification logic, or database contents.
3.3 Credential Sharing
- Sharing your account login credentials — username, password, or session tokens — with any third party, whether for commercial gain or otherwise.
- Allowing multiple individuals to use a single account simultaneously or sequentially, except as explicitly permitted under a plan or arrangement agreed in writing with Sourcinq.
3.4 Commercial Redistribution of Results
- Reselling, sublicensing, redistributing, or publishing search Results, supplier data, or classification information obtained through Sourcinq to any third party in any form, including as part of a paid service, free publication, newsletter, report, or data product.
- Using Results to populate, enrich, supplement, or create any supplier directory, wholesale database, aggregator, or competing research tool or platform.
- Incorporating Sourcinq Results into any product or service offered to third parties without prior written consent from Sourcinq.
3.5 Supplier and Brand Interference
- Using supplier contact information obtained through Sourcinq to send unsolicited bulk communications, spam, or any form of harassment to suppliers, brands, or their representatives.
- Misrepresenting your identity, business, or relationship with Sourcinq when contacting suppliers identified through the platform.
- Using platform data to intimidate, threaten, or engage in any form of coercive conduct toward suppliers or brands.
3.6 System Probing and Abuse
- Submitting deliberately fictitious, randomly generated, nonsensical, or fraudulent inputs for the purpose of probing system behaviour, testing response patterns, or attempting to manipulate query deduction logic.
- Attempting to identify, exploit, or report for commercial gain any security vulnerability in the platform without first disclosing it responsibly to Sourcinq at [email protected].
- Performing any action intended to disrupt, degrade, or impair the availability or performance of the platform for other users.
3.7 Sanctions Circumvention
- Providing a false billing address, using a VPN, proxy, or any other technical means to circumvent Sourcinq's geographic and sanctions screening, in order to access the Service from a jurisdiction that is subject to applicable sanctions or from which Sourcinq does not permit access.
3.8 Unlawful Use
- Using the Service in any manner that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations, including but not limited to laws relating to intellectual property, data protection, consumer protection, anti-money laundering, and trade sanctions.
- Using Results to facilitate any activity that is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful to third parties.
4. Demo Query Feature — Specific Restrictions
The guest demo search feature is provided exclusively for the purpose of evaluating the Sourcinq platform before registration. It is not a means of obtaining ongoing free access to the Service.
The following conduct in relation to the demo feature is specifically prohibited:
- Using multiple browser sessions, incognito or private browsing windows, different browsers, different devices, or different IP addresses to submit more than the permitted number of free demo Queries;
- Sharing demo access methods or circumvention techniques with other individuals;
- Using the demo feature on behalf of another person who has already exhausted their own demo allowance.
Sourcinq uses session-level and IP-based tracking to detect and prevent demo abuse. Repeated or systematic abuse of the demo feature may result in IP-level blocking and, where an account is subsequently registered, account termination.
5. No Public API
Sourcinq does not currently offer a public API. Any programmatic or automated access to the platform — including via browser automation, HTTP request libraries, or any other non-browser client — is prohibited without prior explicit written authorisation from Sourcinq.
If you are interested in API access or enterprise integration arrangements, please contact us at [email protected] to discuss your requirements.
6. Intellectual Property Obligations
When using the Service, you agree not to:
- claim ownership of, or misrepresent the source of, any Results, data, or content generated by the Sourcinq platform;
- remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices, classification labels, confidence indicators, or source attributions contained in Results;
- use Sourcinq's name, logo, trademarks, or branding in any manner that implies endorsement, partnership, or affiliation without prior written consent.
7. Consequences of Violation
Sourcinq takes violations of this AUP seriously. The consequences of a violation will be determined at Sourcinq's sole discretion based on the nature, severity, and recurrence of the conduct, and may include one or more of the following:
7.1 Formal Warning
For minor or first-time violations where the conduct appears inadvertent and has caused limited harm, Sourcinq may issue a written warning by email. The warning will specify the nature of the violation and the action required to remedy it. A warning does not preclude further action if the violation continues or recurs.
7.2 Temporary Account Suspension
Sourcinq may suspend your account pending investigation of a suspected violation. During a suspension, access to the platform — including your search history and saved Results — will be restricted. Suspension may be imposed with or without prior notice depending on the urgency and severity of the situation.
7.3 Permanent Account Termination
For serious, repeated, or wilful violations, Sourcinq may permanently terminate your account. Upon termination:
- all access to the platform is revoked immediately;
- all unused Query credits (Subscription and Package) are forfeited without compensation;
- no refund will be issued in connection with a termination for AUP violation, regardless of the amount paid or the number of unused credits remaining.
7.4 Legal Action
For violations that cause material harm to Sourcinq, its users, suppliers, or third parties — including but not limited to large-scale data scraping, commercial redistribution of Results, or deliberate system abuse — Sourcinq reserves the right to pursue civil and/or criminal legal remedies to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. This includes seeking injunctive relief and compensation for damages.
7.5 Reporting to Authorities
Where a violation involves illegal conduct — including fraud, sanctions circumvention, or computer misuse — Sourcinq may report the matter to relevant law enforcement or regulatory authorities.
8. Reporting Suspected Violations
If you become aware of any use of the Sourcinq platform that you believe violates this AUP — whether by another user, a third party, or through a technical vulnerability — please report it to us promptly at:
Email: [email protected]
Subject line: "AUP Violation Report"
Please include as much detail as possible, including the nature of the conduct, any relevant URLs or account details, and the date and time of the incident (if known). All reports are treated confidentially to the extent reasonably possible.
Sourcinq does not offer bounties or compensation for AUP violation reports unless a formal bug bounty or responsible disclosure programme has been established and publicly announced.
9. Changes to This Policy
Sourcinq may update this AUP at any time to reflect changes in how the platform operates, new categories of misuse that are identified, or updates to applicable legal requirements. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Where changes are material, registered users will be notified by email and/or via an in-platform notice.
Continued use of the Service following notification of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated AUP. If you do not agree with any update, you must stop using the Service.
